Zandra and I enjoyed another great quilt show – in Morden, MB. There was a great variety of quilts. They have also started to do “bed turning”! I saw this for the first time in AZ; it’s a wonderful way to present quilts, particularly antique quilts. Of course, we stopped by the merchant mall for a quick view, and then, on to the quilt store. Quilt stores in Winnipeg are nearly non existant, but, rural MB pulls up the slack; there will be a new store opening in Winkler in the near future. Wonderful finds in the Quilters Den in Morden; she has a great variety of batiks and the latest in Moda offerings.
Before the quilt show, I basted 5 quilts! Gradually, I hope to show them on my blog. You may have seen some of the tops! I’ve had a few days to just ‘catch up’ in the sewing room, so a few UFO’s are done. I’m also finishing up a ‘tester’ for Hopscotch Quilts in Lethbridge. They have new patterns for their trip to spring quilt market in Portand- they like to have them tested before the final instructions are written.
